We are a small family farm. We began butchering one cow a year and now we have moved to one every few months. As our business continues to grow, products will be available more often. Select beef cuts generally sell out within hours of posting on our site. Well there are quite a few reasons...
1. It is highly sought after.
2. Wagyu cattle are expensive to purchase.
3. It is all about genetics. Wagyu cattle are rated on their meat color, fat color, ribeye shape, size of ribeye area, and marbling. A lot of money goes into getting the right genetics to bring you high quality meat.
4. These cows are expensive to feed. While a grass fed cow is exactly that...grass...fed, our cows receive high quality feeds for up to 20 months and cows eat a LOT every day. Feeding these cows the right combination of grass and grains produces the marbling that everyone gets so excited about, BUT it is very EXPENSIVE!
